HP Reveals Their Slate Computer

In an apparent attempt to steal some buzz from Apple’s brand-new iPad, Hewlett-Packard on Monday released some details about its “slate” computer, which will go on sale later this year.

A new blog post and video highlight some apparent differences between the two gadgets: The HP device has two video cameras, a USB connection and also support for Flash animations.

The lack of those features has been a consistent gripe among iPad reviewers.

Like the iPad, the HP gadget is a medium-sized, touch-screen device that acts kind of like a laptop without a keyboard, and kind of like a stretched-out smartphone.

The HP Slate looks like an incredibly device that is much more feature enabled than Apple’s iPad. Personally I think the two cameras the device

supports is a huge step ahead of the iPad. It will be so handy for Skype calls and conferences.

I am not sure if I will be getting an HP slate, however if I keep hearing and seeing these fantastic things about the product I will definitely consider picking one up. I would love to have one more than anything else, so if you have any connections with HP…hook a brotha up!

I will be getting an iPad for two reasons. One, when the iPad is hacked and jailbroken – the device it going to be so much more capable that it is now, and because I was going to buy a Kindle in January before the iPad was announced, and I held off until now.

DiMco Update 1.0

gmrlogoThis will be a series of posts I will just be posting exclusively to the site, as well as Twitter. They will just be update posts on upcoming events and such on the channel as well as my life.

First of all, Christmas is rapidly approaching and as of right now I am out of school for the Christmas break so I will have a lot more time to work on projects and videos on the web – but mostly play Modern Warfare 2!

A lot of you have been asking about GMR Daily and what it is. GMR Daily is still in the process of being made and coded. It will be up in the first week of January. We already have a few writers for the site, including ChampChong and such – so it should be great!

In terms of the 12 giveaways of Christmas with the iPod Shuffle we are full force ahead! Over 3,500 entries and rapidly gaining on 4,000! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that! Very cool!

Finally, in terms of videos I am putting out to the web over the next week – there will be 3-4. First will be a quick tutorial about YouTube that will be put out on Friday. The winners video for the giveaway will be put out on Monday and a review of the H1-Touch from Luxa 2 will be out on Wednesday. Going to be a busy week for you raters!

Anyways, just a quick update post, I am now accepting writers for LukeDiMarco.com – so if you would like to write for the site, just fill out the form and send in your application!

Thanks guys,

Luke
